Sami Fahmy graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1974, and his start was by participating in the play “Cairo in a Thousand Years” in 1969, and from there to the cinema, where he participated in the film “Visitor of the Dawn” in 1973, then moved to television through the series “Forsa of a Lifetime”. Where he presented the role of “Shaker Fadla” with artist Mohamed Sobhi in 1976.
Sami Fahmy has participated in other works, including films: “An appointment with Soso, Doubt, my love, I am neither a devil nor an angel, an assault” and series: “On the edge of biography, The tower of fortune, Al-Ayyam, Muhammad is the messenger of God, Zainab and the throne”, as well as the series “The Story of Mizo” and presented the famous character “Sultan”.
In 1983, he saw his last work through the series ‘The Crazy Nest’ with Muhammad Awad and Suhair Al-Bably, and ‘Al-Sayyad and Love’ with Samir Ghanem, Ahmed Badir and Essad Younes, before emigrating to America to studying conducting, then decided to settle there for 30 years.
The latest tribute to the late Sami Fahmy was by the great artist Mohamed Sobhi at the ’50 Years of Art’ celebration, where he honored all the artists who have shared his work with him, including artist Sami Fahmy.
