The artist Samir Sabry revealed the reasons for the retirement of the great artist, Shadia, in a surprising way while she was presenting the play “Raya and Sakina”.
“Sabri” said in his interview with Engy Ali on her program “Secrets of the Stars” on “FM” radio in an episode of yesterday, Shadia was dreaming of motherhood, especially after she had an abortion 3 times during her marriage to the artist Salah Zulfikar, which affected her negatively.
He continued: «She considered her brother Taher as her son, and this is what compensated her for motherhood somewhat, but suddenly Taher passed away, and Shadia grieved him with great grief and entered a phase of depression because of him.
He added: “During this period, she suffered a health crisis, and doctors in Egypt informed her that she had breast cancer, which forced her to undergo an excision, and then she traveled to her sister Afaf in America for some tests, to discover that she was not diagnosed with cancer and that the diagnosis was wrong, which added to her psychological suffering, And it led to her isolation and entry into a state of mysticism, before making the decision to retire and move away from everyone.
It is reported that the big star, Shadia, died in November 2017 after a struggle with illness.
