The beginning of the Egyptian poet, whose roots go back to Upper Egypt, was in the late sixties, when he met the singer Hosni Sharif, who is the father of the singer Tamer Hosni, and Al-Darwani met him at the beginning of the his artistic career, and together they presented a song called “Anthem to Abdel Nasser”, which is political and expresses the political situation at the time. Apart from songwriting, Al-Darwani also had some experience in film writing as he wrote the films ‘Al-Darb Al-Ahmar’, ‘Al-Fahhamin’, ‘A Dangerous Life’ and ‘Farewell to Bachelorhood’ . , but his fame as a songwriter has remained greater than that of a cinematographer.
