Police in Limerick have upgraded their investigation into the death of a woman to a murder inquiry, following a post-mortem examination. The woman, who was originally from Romania and in her 20s, was found dead in an apartment block on Dock Road on Tuesday. A senior investigating officer has been appointed and an incident room opened at Henry Street Garda station. Police are searching for a man who was seen entering a shop with a bandaged hand close to the scene of the attack. Police have asked anyone with information or camera footage from the area between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday to contact them.
