The Deadline for Electing a President in Lebanon: Lawyer Elie Mahfoud Warns of Impending Chaos

The head of the Change Movement, lawyer Elie Mahfoud, indicated that “the deadline for electing a president is in September, and after that, in the absence of elections, we will head towards a stage of hot chaos.”

In an interview via “Spot Shot”, within the “Point of View” program, Mahfoud said: “This chaos will include all possibilities. Frankly speaking, the Shiite duo wants a “Tartura” in Baabda Palace.”

He continued, “We were faced with an opportunity full of descriptions, which is to bring the head of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea, to the presidency of the republic, as the man enjoys the sovereign characteristics that crowned him, after the recent parliamentary elections, the most popular man in the Christian environment.”

Mahfoud concluded, “I believe that the duo capable of saving Lebanon is the duo of Sin-Sin, that is, Samir Geagea in the presidency of the republic and Saad Hariri in the presidency of the government. These words may not receive positive channels today, but it inevitably leads to the start of building the idea of the homeland.”
