The Univisión presenter recalls throughout the interview that the University of Washington is “renowned worldwide for its academic excellence” while inviting Paula to narrate what she experienced during her time in León: “It has been wonderful… . I want to come back”.
«I was working in the City Council. Working in politics is something totally different. I learned a lot about how this type of communication works. You learn communication tools and you can put them into practice and it has helped me to be a more open professional », she acknowledges.
The union between Leon and Washington
The union between León and the University of Washington is something exceptional in the European educational framework as this North American university has only two branches in all of Europe (León and Rome), hence the importance of an agreement that has been going on for more than one of each.
Paula de Oliveira Thiele is just one of the many cases of students who have become Leonese ambassadors on a bridge between two cities that are more than 5,000 kilometers apart.
