In a state of sadness and shock, the funeral of the late Wadih George Wassouf took place from the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas “Ashrafiya”, to the tune of the songs of his famous father, George Wassouf.
Sultan Al-Tarab went into a fit of intense weeping while receiving condolences from Wadih his eldest son in the hall of the Greek Orthodox St. Nicholas Church “Al-Ashrafiya” and collapsed to his death.
And the great artist’s son, George Wassouf, died after a health crisis to which he was the victim, entering the hospital on December 27 to undergo a gastric sleeve conversion, and returned home after the operation.
However, in recent days he had a stomach haemorrhage, for which he was transferred to the “San Giuseppe” hospital, where he died of complications.
According to Lebanese media reports, George Wassouf and his private lawyer intend to file a lawsuit against the doctor who supervises the care of his deceased son, after he caused his death due to a medical error following an operation of “stomach gag”.
