The Day Before – an MMO about survival – once again topped the list of the most anticipated games in Steamsurpassing Hades 2 and Hollow Knight: Silksong just days after the Early Access date was announced.
The survival MMO game has returned to Steam after The Day Before developer Fntastic announced that the game had reclaimed its title (following copyright issues last summer) and would go into early access this December. And although fans of the game have become suspicious of the ever-changing title, its former status has allowed it to return to the top, most likely due to past interest.
Thus, the previous most desired games – the strategy Manor Lords and the long-awaited sequel Hades 2 from Supergiant – shifted to second and third places, respectively. And yes, in case you were wondering, Hollow Knight: Silksong is still sitting at a comfortable fifth place on the Steam chart.
The renewed interest in The Day Before is likely due not only to the game’s release date on Steam Early Access, which will begin in just over a month, on December 7, but also to the new trailer, which finally shows detailed gameplay. In the trailer, we saw the post-apocalyptic world of the game, in which players fight for survival, fight deadly infected people and search for valuable items.
It’s surprising that there are still quite a few players who are eagerly awaiting the release of The Day Before, considering that its development was delayed several times and controversy arose during its creation when the developer asked for volunteers to work on the game. And while things seem to be back to normal, The Day Before is still being delayed indefinitely for consoles.
