In the past few days, we have informed you about the case and the quick end of The Day Before through several news items. Since its announcement, the suspicious-looking title has not escaped the attention of other development teams and studios. For the well-deserved failure of the game, for example responded the developers of the well-known survival game DayZ from the Czech studio Bohemia Interactive. The studio’s representatives posted a statement on social media that duplicates the message in which the developers of The Day Before announced the cessation of activities and the closure of their studio.
The statement of the authors of DayZ, however met with mixed reactions. While part of the players considered it a funny reaction to the infamous ending of The Day Before, a large group of users reminded the developers that even they themselves were not able to live up to their promises in the case of DayZ for a long time. A well-known Czech streamer, for example, characterized the studio’s contribution as quite hypocritical Mazarini.
But the obvious effort of the DayZ authors to use the attention surrounding The Day Before did not end there. Another example is release of a new bundle DayZ with the game Icarus, which is aptly titled The Day After. Despite the criticism mentioned above, for disappointed players of The Day Before, this bundle may represent a much better investment. By the way, well-known developer Dean Hall signed on as a designer behind DayZ and the aforementioned Icarus.
