Al-Ittihad of Alexandria will host Al-Ahly on Monday in a match postponed from the fourth round in the Egyptian Premier League.
The 64th edition of the Egyptian Premier League competitions kicked off on 18 October 2022, which was its first edition in 1948, and the tournament is regarded as one of the best ever in the Middle East and Africa.
Al-Ahly are the historic champions of the Egyptian league having been crowned with the title 42 times, while Zamalek are the second club to win the league with a total of 14 times, and Ismaily come in third place and also with a large difference from the runner-up, having only won the competition on three occasions in its history.
Zamalek have won the title in the last two seasons, to continue to control the local headlines image in recent seasons, while Pyramids finished as runners-up in the 2021-22 season, beating Al-Ahly for third.
