Querétáro Governor Mauricio Kuri condemned the violence, saying the club must be held accountable for what happened. Competition boss Mike Arriola said the league was likely to implement biometric or facial recognition systems in stadiums.

“We need to put in place digital security measures to identify those involved in the matches,” Arriola said, mentioning organized fan clubs, which are often involved in violence.
