The South Korean carmaker Kia kept the same look for the Sportage outside the front grille, but supplemented it with attractive black accessories, which several carmakers have resorted to in recent years.

The Sportage in the Black Edition version received a glossy black radiator grille with a slightly different shape from the manufacturer. The edging is also different, as well as protective covers in front of the front and rear bumper, headlights, front fog lights. The roof rails and some, originally metallically painted parts on the front of the body, such as the windscreen rim, are also glossy black.

As with other cars with the Black Edition package, the Kia Sportage received glossy black Kia logos on the front and rear. The inscription of the model designation is also glossy black, and in addition it now consists of capital letters across the entire width of the fifth door. Of course, there are also painted black seventeen-inch alloy wheels. In total, the Kia offers eleven different body shades for combination with glossy black.

However, Kia did not end up with the exterior. News can also be found inside, the Black Packet version has a premium fabric or steering wheel inside, a gear selector and leather-trimmed door armrests. As standard, the car also comes with dual automatic air conditioning, electrically folding rear-view mirrors, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The Black Edition model variant will be offered by Kia in combination with four engines. For petrol enthusiasts, you can choose between a weaker 1.6-liter GDi engine with atmospheric filling and 132 horsepower and a more powerful four-cylinder T-GDI with the same volume but turbocharger and 177 horsepower.

The offer of diesel aggregates also offers two options, a 1.6-liter engine with 136 horsepower or its mildhybrid version with the same power. There is front-wheel drive and ATV, as well as the option to choose between a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed automatic dual clutch.

Kia set the initial price at 594,980 crowns up to 764,980 crowns, depending on the selected engine, transmission and wheel drive. The first Black Edition cars began to be produced in the Žilina factory and can be ordered now.
