Fjord Line’s communications consultant, Flemming Hofmann Tveitan, confirms to TV 2 that several passengers have been left standing in the waiting hall at the port of Bergen.
– I can confirm that failure in communication between land and ship led to Bergensfjord leaving Bergen without pedestrians, says Hofmann Tveitan to TV 2.
He further says that two buses will be set up to transport those who want to continue to Stavanger, where they can board the ship.
– Of course, everyone gets their money back for the trip, even if they choose to travel further. Everyone also receives a value check, says Hofmann Tveitan further.
About 60 abandoned passengers
Around 60 people have been left standing, among them Terje Grønhaug and Gerd Flytlid. They were actually going to Hirtshals, but are now considering spending the night in Bergen, and rather take the boat on Thursday.
– This does not work. It is simply amateurish, rages Terje Grønhaug.
He says that the door was never opened for the passengers, who suddenly saw that the boat was heading out into the fjord.
