Al-Marsad newspaper: Consultant neurosurgeon, Dr. Hani Al-Juhani, revealed the dangers of the effect of gastric sleeve operations on the brain.
Al-Juhani said in a circulating video clip that there are people who underwent gastric sleeve operations and then suffered from other problems.
He explained that there was a thirty-year-old married woman who, after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery, suffered brain atrophy due to a severe lack of vitamins.
He added: The woman suffered from brain atrophy and became like a child, and my perpetrator was a young man with paralysis in his feet. The reason was that he had undergone gastric sleeve surgery, had lost vitamins, and had a back problem. His muscles had melted due to weight loss.
During the clip, he also showed a picture of the 25-year-old’s back.
He pointed out that vitamin deficiency affects the nerves greatly, especially in cases that have undergone gastric sleeve surgery and stomach reduction surgeries.
