The nutritional properties of apples

The poisonous apple fruit
Not everyone knows that the apple is actually a false fruitthe real fruit would only be the central part and that is the core, what is normally discarded. While, the edible parts, the pulp and peelperform a function of protecting the seeds at the center.
Be careful though, because really the seeds in the center should not be eaten because they contain amygdalin which, during digestion, releases some into the body toxic compounds. The most dangerous is hydrocyanic acid which, if ingested in large doses, can cause intoxication and poisoning and, in the most serious cases, lead to death due to cellular asphyxiation.
