I have never seen such disrespect for other people in my life,” he added.

18-year-old Michkov belongs to the St. Petersburg SKA. Last season for the main team in the KHL, he played three games and scored no goals. Michkov ended the season on loan at Sochi, where he scored nine goals and provided 11 assists in 27 games.

In May, The Athletic reported that Michkov would be selected by the San Jose Sharks with the fourth overall pick in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.

In November 2021, Michkov became the youngest hockey player in the history of Russian national teams (Russia/USSR), breaking the record of Vladislav Tretyak, and also surpassed the achievement of Alexander Ovechkin, becoming at the age of 16 years 339 days the youngest scorer for the national team in the history of Russian hockey.
