After several months, Škoda again adjusted the price lists of most of its models. These, with a few exceptions, were more expensive – somewhere mild, somewhere bigger. For example, the compact Scala, which started well below 400,000 crowns two years ago, is now overcoming this limit. Karoq or Superb SUVs in both body variants are also more expensive.
The increase in the price of new Škoda cars has not been unusual in recent years. The carmaker adjusts the prices of its models regularly and usually by several thousand upwards. “The reason for the decision to adjust the prices of our cars is primarily inflation, which brings an increase in supplier prices and at the same time labor prices,” explains the current rise in prices for the car manufacturer’s spokesman Pavel Jína. “In addition, the development of car prices is influenced by increasingly stringent legislative requirements, for example with regard to new technologies, emission limits or safety regulations,” he adds.
The Scala, Kamiq, Karoq, Superb and Enyaq iV models have higher prices than a few weeks ago since the beginning of March. Octavia received another addition to the offer, such as a version powered by compressed natural gas CNG and a manual transmission, while Kodiaq also lost some variants at least temporarily in connection with the planned modernization.
A novelty of the offer is also the Enyaq iV in the Sportline version, on the contrary, the Fabia Combi Tour, which is currently the only possible version of a small car with the possibility of entering into production, we addressed in a separate article.
Take a look at the overview of how much each model has become more expensive, as well as other changes in the price lists of the new Škoda models.
