As early as 2021, the Salzburg Ducks Ladies were able to challenge the Dacia Vikings and bring them to the brink of their first defeat in over ten years. In the end, however, the Viennese secured a 14:12 victory in the away match in Salzburg.
Again this time, last weekend, it smelled like a sensation in Salzburg. By the end of the third quarter, the Salzburg underdogs were leading by 14:20, but the Vikings flexed their muscles in the final quarter. After quick touchdowns, the match finally ended with 50:14.
The Ducks continue next Sunday, the women of Salzburg will meet the Telfs Patriots, who will not play in the first weekend, who this year form a joint team with the Schwaz Hammers.
The Vikings Ladies continue their game against the Telfs Patriots at Ravelin on 24 September.
