The Czechia is waiting for the days in the November fog. The sun will appear in the mountains – ČT24 – Czech Television

The dominant feature at the moment for the weather is the crossing of the cold front, for which it cooled down on Thursday, and in the Ore Mountains, for example, the temperature dropped five degrees below zero. During the day, thermometers barely exceeded ten-degree values, and it will be no different in the last days of the week.

An even colder and frostier morning is expected on Friday than it was on Thursday. The lowest temperature will be around zero and will occasionally drop to minus four. In addition, it will be cloudy and foggy in the middle of the republic, so the mists that form in places can even freeze. However, the sun should appear by Friday afternoon (in some places the length of its light will be up to nine hours), and temperatures can get slightly above ten degrees.

The weather over the Czech Republic will be affected at the weekend by the pressure level, which is to gradually move northeast from Central Europe. “The longer the pressure level is above us, thus intensifying the influx of warm air in the upper atmosphere, the more pronounced the inversion and the greater the probability that the fog will persist throughout the day,” explains CT meteorologist Alena Zárybnická.

The Czechs will probably be able to see for themselves on Saturday. The first weekend awakening seems to be accompanied by fog, they should dissolve by the afternoon. In sunny weather, temperatures between nine and thirteen degrees are expected, but with fog and low clouds they can be seven degrees lower.

Gloomy Sunday

Sunday’s forecast does not give the sun too much chance – the day should be overcast and foggy, with the exception of the mountains, southwestern Bohemia and east Moravia and Silesia. In these cases, the temperature can be around ten, elsewhere only between two and seven degrees Celsius.

“Altitude will play a key role. If you are in the mountains, it is very likely that not only on the weekend, but also the whole next week will be clear. On the contrary, there will be more places in the lowlands where fog and low clouds will form, ”adds Zárybnická.

In principle, the weather will remain unchanged in the first half of the new week. Temperatures should be around five degrees and the sun will appear only rarely; fogs and cloudy skies will predominate. It can also drizzle from low clouds and dispersion conditions will deteriorate as will air quality. However, no significant precipitation is expected. It should not rain or snow in the Czech Republic until mid-November.
