The Czechia is negotiating a battery factory with two investors, Havlíček announced

The German Volkswagen, which also includes the Czech carmaker Škoda Auto, announced in March this year that it plans to have six battery factories in Europe by 2030. He stated that one could stand in the Czech Republic. Havlíček told Reuters that the government is also negotiating with another potential investor, but declined to name him. According to the minister, the government’s goal is to ensure the construction of one plant, but it is also possible that there will be two factories in the final.

According to Reuters, one of the representatives of Volkswagen stated this week that the company is intensively negotiating a factory for batteries for electric cars in Central Europe, but that no decision has been made yet. The Group has previously announced that in addition to the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia are also possible locations for this plant.
