Czech router All towers developed in CZ.NIC received an interesting foreign award. Web Technology Reviews, which focuses on benchmarking, put it marked for the best router for an open system OpenWrt.
“Turris Omnia is without a doubt the best router for OpenWrt,” writes Technology Reviews. “It’s an open source router and has the highest CPU performance.”
The website also praises, for example, regular automatic updates, solid processing, simple setup, user interface, good signal coverage and “ultimate performance”. There are two disadvantages: Omnia did not identify all LTE chips and “the need to work with great care.”
Netgear Nighthawk X4S Smart came in second in the test. The third is the TP-Link AC1900 Smart, the fourth the Linksys WRT AC3200 and the fifth the Linksys WRT1900ACS. Ten routers were evaluated, the list is here.
