The Czech Republic will grant additional leave to vaccinated officials

On Friday, the Czech government approved a proposal to grant two additional holidays to officials who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

“I have not found any other way to motivate people to be vaccinated. Some people might criticize me for not being fair, but I believe it is fair, “said Prime Minister Andrejs Babišs.

The Prime Minister also called on private entrepreneurs to follow the government’s example.

“Every good employer and business owner knows that they need to protect their employees, otherwise sick employees will be quarantined, and this will have a negative impact on the company,” explained Babišs.

In a country with a population of 10.6 million, 4.7 million people have been fully vaccinated.

The Czech Republic also has a strong opposition to vaccination and other measures to stop the Covid-19 pandemic, and includes former President Vaclav Klaus.
