If you have finally decided to buy winter boots for children, looking at snowy Czechia, you will probably have a problem. “We were looking for winter boots, but we have year-round ones. Which are also warm, but they’re not exactly winter. I’ll still look on the internet and try to get one with a fur coat,” said Mrs. Kateřina, who was looking for shoes for her son.

Not only specialized stores but also large networks of shoe retailers are facing a shortage. Manufacturers have supplied only about a third of last year’s stock of winter boots to retailers, and there will be no more by the end of winter. The producers are said to lack material, especially from Asia.
