The government in the Czech Republic announced today that it is tightening controls and sanitary restrictions due to an increase in infections and deaths related to COVID-19, AFP reported, quoted by BTA.
The Ministry of Health announced 3246 new cases in 24 hours – a level that has not been registered since mid-April, DPA notes.
Health Minister Adam Voitech said wearing masks indoors became mandatory, including at work, as of October 25th.
“From November 1, restaurants, clubs and discos will have to check vaccination certificates, tests or evidence of illness of their visitors,” Voitech added.
The government will reduce the validity of the tests, and from November 1 they will be paid for adult citizens of the country, with the aim of encouraging the population to be vaccinated.
