Zemans, who has been in hospital for almost a month and has poor information about his health, has so far given preference to the former prime minister and old ally, Andrejs Babiš, whose populist party, the “Disgruntled Citizens’ Action” (“UN 2011”) the election lost For a branch led by a branch.
Babiss’s UN 2011 party won the most seats in the parliamentary elections (72), however five other parties have united against it, which together will have an overwhelming majority in parliament (108 out of 200 seats).

However, following the President’s announcement, the President of the Senate, Milos Vistricillil, acknowledged that the upper house of parliament would not consider the possibility of enacting Article 66 of the Czech Constitution, which would pave the way for the transfer of presidential powers to other public officials.
