The cyclone will bring with it heavy rainfall, lower temperatures, ice, gusty winds and limited visibility.
“In the period from December 16 to 17 of this year, the cyclone will overtake the territories of West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Mangistau regions, where heavy snowfall, strong gusty winds, and blizzards are expected. Further, from December 18, the cyclone will move to the northern, central and eastern parts of the country, which will cause worsening weather conditions,” the department said.
In this regard, KazAvtoZhol divisions will be transferred to an enhanced operating mode, the message says.
It is planned to use about 500 units of special equipment and 700 road workers on the roads.
