MEXICO CITY, Jan. 8 (EL UNIVERSAL).- In two months, it will be three years since the arrival of Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a franchise that has changed its history since the arrival of the quarterback. Meanwhile, the team that has seen the greatest of all time, the New England Patriots, lived in hell since the great hero left them.
The franchise change marked a before and after in both Brady’s career and the teams involved. While Tampa celebrates its second straight NFC South title and won the Super Bowl three years ago, New England was in a slump and had to experiment with Cam Newton, Mac Jones, Brian Hoyer and Bailey Zappe to find Tom’s replacement.
Currently, Mac Jones has established himself as the new quarterback and point of reference for the franchise. However, since the Patriots ring in 2018, they have not won a single NFL postseason game.
This season, the team led by Bill Belichick played the last card for a playoff berth in the last game of the regular season against Buffalo and lost it. Instead, Brady led the Bucs into title contention three years in a row.
