Slovenian Aleksander Ceferin is the only candidate for the post of president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), UEFA announced on Friday.
The 55-year-old Slovenian will be re-elected at the UEFA congress in Lisbon in April. The Slovenian’s biggest challenge during his time in charge of UEFA came from clubs trying to create a European Super League.
Ceferin has been UEFA president since September 2016. Before that, he was head of the Football Federation of Slovenia (NZS) since 2011.
