Keep

There is no novel, comedy, lecture or aphorism by Jardiel where his intelligence is not lucid, luminous and lapidary. That is why I enthusiastically celebrate this compilation of interviews, because in them amazement, admiration and delight still await us. And the most fascinating thing: with the freshness intact, because Jardiel’s humor did not depend on the vagaries of his time, but strictly on his lucidity. In fact, in the oldest of the interviews, Jardiel was 25 years old and in the last 50 – the age in which he died – and from one extreme to another his intelligence sizzles with laughter. And who interviewed the teacher? González-Ruano, Josefina Carabias, Joaquín Soler Serrano, José Ruiz-Castillo and the great José Luis Salado, among others.
