The Government of the Canary Islands has decided that the islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura (which are in alert level 2 for coronavirus) have from 00.00 this Monday a level 2 reinforced with an early curfew at 22.00, Maximum groups of four people and a reduction in capacity.
This was stated this Thursday by the regional spokesperson, Julio Pérez, and the Minister of Health, Blas Trujillo, during the press conference after the celebration of the Governing Council, who added that in principle these measures will last two weeks and that unlike level 3, with this reinforced level 2 there will be no perimeter closure.
In addition, the regional councilor for the area has explained that in the case of the island of Lanzarote, it will be lowered from level 3 to level 2 due to the good evolution of recent weeks and the rest of the islands (La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro ) will continue at level 1.
