Russia would now really benefit from a lull in the war. This is what they hit
By bombing Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, the enemy is trying to break the will of both our government and us, and to force Ukraine to sit at the negotiating table on Russian terms. This is what the current tactics are aimed at and, unfortunately, I don’t see an end yet.
Many experts say Russia will soon run out of missiles and drones, but I still don’t see the bottom of this barrel. The fact is that these drones and missiles from Iran have a separate contract. An analytical note from the Rand company recently appeared, stating that Egypt had a large contract to purchase 64 Su-35 fighters from Russia. But Egypt rejected this deal and switched to Iran. Either by barter Iran will receive these fighters, or in some other way, but in exchange it will provide Russia with drones (not only Shahed, but also more advanced modifications), as well as ballistic missiles. At $ 5 billion, that’s a sufficient number of fairly cheap drones and missiles.
This weapon, although not entirely technologically perfect, but lethal. Therefore, we need to tune in to the wave of further struggle.
Building a tiered air defense system in Ukraine is not a year-long task. Therefore, we will not receive it in the near future. Furthermore, when it comes to the transfer of equipment from NATO countries at their disposal, following the example of the tanks themselves, the main reason for refusing to transfer them was that it weakens national defense. How long does a tank travel and how long does a plane or rocket fly. That is, with regard to air defense systems, there will be an even tougher position. They will hold them even more firmly than to tanks. We shouldn’t have full-scale air defense. Only with their own strength and with what they are providing at the moment.
In the United States, there is a more determined position to increase both the volume and the pace of supplies. There are the markers, but there is no need to talk about anything physical yet.
However, this does not mean the weakening of US aid to Ukraine. We are talking about the fact that they would do it and help us to victory. True, everyone has a different understanding of what victory is.
