If La Derniere Heure announced a common front strike, it nevertheless seems that the unions are not on the same wavelength. Yves Lambot, permanent CNE (CSC) confirmed to RTBF the strike action of this Thursday, May 2. But the FGTB is delaying.
The FGTB says it is waiting for a meeting scheduled for Tuesday afternoon with management before making a decision. ” VSIt’s still a little early to announce strike action this Thursday since management has asked to meet with us this Tuesday at the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, we have had no contact with our colleagues at the CSC. […] There is indeed a common front concerning the filing of a notice which runs until May 15 for harassment problems resolved for us, but not a decision of an action this Thursday“, explains Alain Goelens, Setca permanent secretary (FGTB).
