The sixth and final season covers the years from 1997 to 2005, Netflix writes in a press release.
In part 1, the series follows the relationship between Princess Diana and the billionaire son and filmmaker Dodi Fayed before the fatal accident in Paris.
The new season will deal with the circumstances surrounding the death, but not the car accident itself.

Part 2 of the final season follows Prince William after his mother’s death. He tries to resume his studies at the boarding school Eton, while at the same time the monarchy has to deal with the attention and challenges in the wake of the accident.
