SUEZ, KOMPAS.com – The crowd cheered in joy after Ever Given, the clogged ship Suez Canal managed to partially float.
Videos circulating on Twitter show how the 200,000-ton ship swings to the edge of the canal.
There was a shout of “Praise God“to” God is great “in celebration after the tugboat succeeded in moving it.

Local source to Reuters revealed, Ever Given could be returned to the “normal route” even though it was still stuck.
The success occurred after Leth Agencies stated that the container ship had “partially floated”.

Dozens of tugboats were deployed with sand that hit the hulls, bit by bit.
General Osama Rabie, Head of the Suez Canal Authority (CSA) said, Ever Given responded to their “push-pull maneuvers”.
He said the evacuation staff almost aligned the ship, which had moved about 102 meters from the edge of the canal.
Media Egypt reported, the local government believes the ship will be ready to move on Monday local time (29/3/2021).
Wilhelmsen Ships, who manages transit on the canal, said they estimate it will take another five hours to float the ship.
