The croissant starts selling sliced ham and cheese. It offers recyclable packaging and also gets rid of paper receipts

Freshly sliced ham, salami and cheese. Customers can now also order this in the largest domestic online supermarket, which is opening its own cutting center. Rohlik.cz is starting to sell almost forty delicacies that customers are used to from stone shops and can now be easily purchased online.

“We went from supermarkets to all specialists in Prague, tasted their delicacies from the counters before we chose and then got a supplier with an even better assortment for Rohlík’s customers. At a time when it is the chains that are slowly leaving the service, due to its complexity, “ notes Olin Novák, Commercial Director of Rohlík Group.

Thanks to the Prague cutting center, Rohlík, according to his statement, wants to offer quality sausages and cheeses at a price comparable or even lower than the current offer on the market. The highest quality ham on Rohlík costs about 27 crowns per 100 grams, bacon costs 17 crowns and ten blanket slices of Dutch Edam 37 crowns.

One thing is the offer itself, another is its delivery. The croissant will, of course, pack fresh delicacies under the strictest hygienic conditions, and the key to delivery is that the temperature chain will not be broken in the case of sausages and cheeses when imported home. The courier will take them in the refrigerated part of the delivery, which the customer himself usually cannot secure when buying in a stone shop.

In Rohlík, they also pay attention to how the sliced cheeses and sausages are packaged. The paper should be easily separable from the film, so it should be easy to recycle. Currently, customers can order about thirty sausages and a dozen cheeses in this way, but the offer of fresh delicacies should gradually grow.

“We are looking for suppliers who do not compromise on production, for quality our buyers put their heads on the log. If Edam, then Dutch, if Emmentaler, then from Switzerland. Parma, Crudo and Bresaola are Italian and of course chorizo only Spanish. In addition, there will be a few products on offer that will be aimed at more price-sensitive customers, “ presents Novák’s offer.

When the cutting center starts, Rohlík expects to order up to three thousand packages a day, while for the time being the offer is valid only for Prague customers. On the contrary, he prepared a domestic supermarket for everyone, to whom Petr Pavlík is the new head of the Czech Republic, while the founder Tomáš Čupr moved to the role of the leader of the whole group and manages foreign expansion, another novelty.

Paper receipts have been canceled in Rohlík since Monday. He no longer prints them for customers to buy, but sends them online. “Thanks to this measure, we will save 6.6 tons of paper per year,” announces the main benefit of the measure Petr Pavlík, CEO of Rohlik.cz. Automatically, paper receipts will continue to be issued only to seniors defined by the ZTP Club, or to anyone who requests them when making a payment.
