The reserve of Nîmes Olympique decidedly not succeeding. The only team in the group to have still not won the slightest victory, it lost for the sixth time this season, Sunday afternoon in Fabrègues, despite the reinforcements of Philibert and Doucouré. Another disturbing setback in what looked very much like the game of fear between the bottom two of the standings.
Serious, united, offensive, tenacious, there are many adjectives to describe Laurent Scala’s team on the face of this match. The people of Hérault also knew the importance of this meeting. Fabrègues pushes again and is once again realistic with a new connection with Ouabi who, in recovery, finds Derrar. The latter finds space in the defense of Nîmes and, in depth, can serve Pellegrin who crosses his shot as it should (2-0, 61st).
Nîmes, unrealistic in front of goal throughout the game, manages to reduce the mark on a very good offset from Doucouré for Boudache who deceives Bouchite (2-1, 82nd). Fabrègues maintains his advantage until the end and validates his first home victory in the league with forceps. Nîmes, for its part, sinks, sinks …
