LIMA – Condition rainforest now it’s getting critical, maybe it’s at the point where it will turn into a savanna. The signs have been seen. Nature Climate Change says the condition has occurred in 75% of rainforest areas since the early 2000s.

One of the rainforests that is in critical condition is the Amazon forest in Brazil. Forests that have an important role in the world’s oxygen supply have continued to be cleared in the last few decades.

Deforestation can be seen from satellite footage taken from 1991 to 2016. Chris Boulton has gathered the information and it appears that the condition of the rainforest has changed drastically.

Launching from Nature Asia, the analysis also revealed that 75% of the Amazon forest has lost its thickness since the early 2000s. This occurs especially for areas that are close to urban areas and which experience little rainfall.

Sadly, this narrowing of forest land is not accompanied by tree planting. For this reason, it is important to encourage forest maintenance so that the world’s oxygen supply is maintained so that it can provide a more decent life.
