This play would be a wonderful psychological thriller if it wasn’t so funny!”

How far would you go to get a loan? Some go way too far.

If you apply for a loan from the bank, you have to get pretty naked before the cash flows – if you can’t provide collateral, you’ll be left out.

The savvy have-not Anton Smith can’t offer that. With devilish cunning, he manipulates the poor branch manager so skilfully that he is just a trembling bundle of nerves. The trick: Schmitt threatens him with… (that would be revealing too much here). And already the middle-class existence of the banker collapses like a house of cards.

A comedic masterpiece by Jordi Gaceran, the Aydin Isik at breakneck speed and with a sure feeling for situational comedy. The two very different protagonists shine in this intelligent exchange of blows, behind which lies a good portion of criticism of capitalism and bank bashing.

The positions of the two men switch between perpetrator and victim, supplicant and blackmailer at an ever faster pace. Who has the upper hand? Are there two winners at the end?

Definitely a highly entertaining and brilliantly acted example of applied psychology.

reviews:

“(…) Humorous mind game that makes for good entertainment!” – Remscheid General Gazette

“(…) The two men are now switching between perpetrator and victim, supplicant and blackmailer at an ever faster pace. Who has the upper hand? Are there two winners at the end? Was it all a ruse? Definitely a highly entertaining and brilliantly acted example of applied psychology.” – Cologne review

“(…) It’s delicious how chutzpah Lukas maneuvers his character Schmitt into the position of the irresistibly womanizer and how the branch manager vents his anger in a rant that is met with spontaneous applause. (…) – Strandgut Frankfurt
