The developer marriage Ken and Roberta Williams, creators of the video game studio Sierra On-Line, which specialized in adventure adventure titles, has announced that working on a new video game, 20 years after the last one was released.
The Americans Ken and Roberta Williams founded Sierra On-Line – then On-Line Systems and later called Sierra Entertainment- in 1979, and created series of popular graphical adventures like King’s Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Gabriel Knight, Leisure Suit Larry and Quest for Glory, among others.
Sierra ended up being acquired by the Activision Blizzard studio in 2008 and stopped making video games, like its creators, who They hadn’t worked on a title together for more than two decades.
Now, the developers are back in business, as they have announced through a release that they have published on the official website, in which they state that They’ve been secretly working on a new video game for six months.
The video game, temporarily known as ‘The secret’, is being developed in collaboration with the 3D artist Marcus Maximus Mera. Its authors have plans to complete the beta in August and begin testing it.
For now, no details have been advanced about the new video game but the Williamses have assured that will have “Sierra flavor“and that will be a title for single player.
Ken Williams explained that his refusal to create new video games changed “when Roberta had a clever idea for a game“and has also stated that he has fun” learning the Unity 3D development environment. “
