Game Black Myth: Wukong has already gone gold: its release is scheduled for August 20. The action RPG is currently receiving rave reviews from users and it looks like we may have a Game of the Year contender on our hands.
According to the team, their action RPG will be more God of War than Souls-like, and it is fitting that David Jaffe is interested in such applications. Now that the final trailer has been released, the creator of God of War has been praising what he has seen.
David Yaffe is initially worried that Black Myth: Wukong might not be the game he’s looking for, but as he watches the trailer, he can’t stop himself from praising it.
The God of War creator talks about the visuals and animations, praising the uniqueness of the Black Myth: Wukong show. That’s why he wants to explore the world and hopes that the game will offer more than just constant boss fights.
In the video, the design of the monsters is what Yaffe emphasizes and values the most. He liked almost all the enemies, bosses and characters, and ended up comparing the product to the work of FromSoftware.
Near the end, David Jaffe notes that he might buy the game because of the latest trailer.
He still has some doubts that stop him from pre-ordering, so he can wait for the reviews before he finally decides to buy. However, one thing is clear: the creator of God of War is already a fan of Black Myth: Wukong.
