The creator of the iconic children’s vocal ensemble “Silver Bells” has died – Society

Angelina Mileva – the creator of the first children’s vocal ensemble – “Silver Bells” has left us, BNT reported.

The emblematic formation changed the style of children’s singing and stimulated Bulgarian composers to write songs especially for children. Angelina Mileva created the first 60-accordion orchestra “Pioneer”, she is also the founder of the “Ramashka” choir, the conductor of the BTS choir, and the creator of the children’s vocal group “Zvezditsa”. He is the conductor of the student choir of “Kliment Ohridski” elementary school.

In 1969, Mileva created “Silver Bells” – the country’s first children’s vocal-variety ensemble. Over the years, the emblematic children’s and youth ensemble changed the style of children’s singing, stimulated Bulgarian composers to write songs especially for children. A new style of nursery rhyme writing is needed.
