Alexander Ginzburg, director of the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in Russia, which developed the Sputnik V vaccine, has suggested the possible cause of blood clots after vaccination against coronavirus with AstraZeneca.
According to the academician, it is possible that this is due to poor quality purification of the preparation, which can be two-stage or three-stage, according to world publications.
“Perhaps in this case an incomplete degree of purification was used and some products that could remain in the final product could contribute to platelet aggregation in some of the patients who received the preparation,” Ginzburg was quoted as saying. Blitz.
He added that this question will be answered more precisely by experts from the European Union, who are trying to establish the link between the development of thrombosis in vaccinated people and the properties of the drug injected by them.
Recall that the number of countries that have already restricted the use of AstraZeneca due to reports of thrombosis and thrombocytopenia is approaching 20.
The latest such decision was taken by Germany, France, Italy, Latvia and Sweden. They stated the need for further research into the drug for possible side effects.
At the same time, the vaccine manufacturer still denies the information about the appearance of blood clots due to the use of the drug.
