The creator of Invincible is clear about the number of seasons he hopes to have for the Amazon Prime Video adaptation

Amazon Prime Video has two superhero series in its catalog that are far from Marvel and DC and are a resounding success on the platform. On the one hand, there is The Boys, which will end in 2026, and on the other, there is Invinciblewhich aims to be one of the platform’s longest-running productions.

This is what the creator of the work himself has commented, Robert Kirkmanin an interview with the American media GamesRadar+where the author has made it clear that his intention is to adapt the entire work to the animated series, and has stipulated a number of seasons to tell the entire story.

“I mean, there’s certainly a number that I feel like would get me to the end of the comics, seven or eight seasons or so is what I’m looking for. If we get there and we’re still having a ton of fun and Prime Video is still cool, I could go even longer.”

Kirkman wants the adaptation of Invincible at least reach the seventh or eighth season, although if the audience numbers continue to be high and Amazon gives the go-ahead, the author would be willing to reach double digits if the public and fans of the superhero ask for it.

It is clear that Invincible has become one of the platform’s flagships, although it is true that few series have survived more than three seasons. However, it seems that Amazon trusts Kirkman and his story, so it would not be unreasonable to think that this adaptation will become a sure bet for Amazon in the long term.
