If your kids are fans of video games, there is one must-see store in New York: Nintendo World. Since May 2005, this large 1000 m² boutique located in the heart of the Rockefeller Center complex has been the showcase of the Japanese brand in New York. And the store has just reopened, after being closed for a month for renovations. Goodbye Nintendo World, make way for Nintendo NY, the new name of the store!
The decoration and organization of the premises have been completely redesigned, with more spaces to test the games and more natural light. You are also invited to test consoles and games, notably via this new giant screen which will allow you to play the Wii in XXL format.
Video game museum
On the second floor, the video game museum is still there and you can go back in time by discovering the evolution of consoles.
On the shelves, you will find all of the brand’s consoles and games, as well as a host of related products, from mugs to t-shirts and caps.
Nintendo NY also hosts all kinds of Nintendo events throughout the year, including the final stages of the Pokkén Tournaments as well as game releases. At your controls!
