Some villagers witnessed the incident.
“You just heard – ‘boom.’ I looked up and saw white smoke. The wing was flying to one side and the body of the plane was rocking like that and then it slid down with one wing. He wasn’t diving, he was falling. Everything was burning. People were walking around. They took out some of their remains. I didn’t see exactly. The number of the plane was hanging – that’s it,” said Vitaly Stepekov.
“It was not thunder, but a metallic sound. That’s how I’ll put it. I have heard such things before in life,” added Anatoly.
Russian authorities said they were investigating the incident as a violation of air transport safety rules. Prigozhin’s death was also announced by his Telegram channel.
