The covid grows 76% and the flu 12% in the last week in the Valencian Community while the VRS falls

VALENCIA. (EP) The incidence of covid has risen by 76.14% in the last week in the Valencian Community to 154.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 88.7 cases seven days ago, while the flu has risen 12% to 300 cases compared to 268 cases in the previous period. In contrast, the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) continues to drop to 14.9 cases.

Thus, it emerges from the latest bulletin of the Acute Respiratory Infection Surveillance System (SiVIRA) published by the Ministry of Health that analyzes the week of February 6 to 12.

In total, Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) have risen from 1,348.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 1,483.1, almost doubling the 729.9 national average. By age groups, the highest incidence of acute respiratory infections continues to be the 0-4 year age group, which has grown to 4,369 cases compared to 4,233.1 in the previous period.

Regarding positivity, 20.2% of the total of the 99 flu tests analyzed were positive; 10.4% of the 106 covid tests and 1% of the 97 RSV samples studied. Similarly, in terms of syndromic surveillance in hospitals, the incidence of severe ARI has risen to 30.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 21.4 in the previous period.
