The Minister of Education, Edgar Pary, has recommended that the educational community take into account the biosecurity measures established to counter the Covid-19 for the resumption of school activities in educational units, starting from 1 February throughout the country. The authority clarified that although the coronavirus vaccine card is not essential, immunization of the student population is recommended.

“For enrolment, the (regime) vaccination card of our boys and girls of the first classes of the school must be presented. Not so, the vaccination card against Covid, since it is not essential, but it is recommended ”, said the authority this Sunday at a press conference, citing a report from the Ministry of Education.
In this line, Pary has recommended parents and guardians to go to the vaccination points authorized by the Ministry of Health to avoid contagion and protect the health of students, in the sixth wave of Covid-19 that is crossing the country.
“We as the Ministry of Education – like the Ministry of Health – recommend continuing to visit the vaccination points to counteract the effects of the sixth wave. It is important, as parents, we must take care of the health of our sons and daughters, through the vaccine against Covid ”, urged the minister.

In addition to biosecurity equipment, according to the powers of the municipal administrations established in number 2 of article 299 of the State Political Constitution (CPE), in accordance with paragraph I of article 72 and article 80 of the education law, taking into account the epidemiological situation of the country and the region.
Article 80 of the Avelino Siñani-Elizardo Pérez Law, number two, states: “Municipal governments are responsible for providing, financing and guaranteeing the basic services, infrastructure, furniture, teaching material and equipment of the Educational Units of ordinary, alternative and special education, as well as the District and Core Offices, within their competence”.
“Today the schools are free, we ask the municipal administrations of the whole country to condition the infrastructure for the whole month of January, so that on February 1st our students return to the classrooms with the best infrastructural conditions”, urged Pary, referring to the municipality, especially in departmental capitals.
