Özcan Akyol returns after five years with a second run of The Cousins of Eus, let the NTR know on Friday. The second season can be seen on NPO2 from September 4.

This time Akyol is not being guided by his own family, but by local residents. They should offer the viewer a broader view of Turkey.

The 38-year-old presenter and columnist says he wants to introduce the Dutch viewer to the enormous diversity of Turkey. “The melting pot of cultures, religions and ethnic groups explains a lot about Turkish elements that have now also become part of Dutch culture.”
