The court stopped the prosecution of ex-minister Bárta

The intercepted telephone calls of Janoušek and Bém, in which men address “Mazánka” and “Kolibřík”, were published in March 2012 by Mladá fronta Dnes. The wiretaps reveal Janoušek’s influence on the steps of the capital under Bém’s leadership. The daily stated at that time that the recordings were made in 2007 by the Security Information Service (BIS).

Both defendants deny the blame for the misuse of power and the threat to classified information. In the autumn of 2013, Bárta was accused of instructing the then BIS agent Petržílek in 2009 as the owner of the ABL security agency to produce the aforementioned sensitive documents.

Petržílek, who headed the analytics and informatics department at the anti-corruption police at the time of his arrest, ended up in custody after his arrest and was released by the court after a few weeks. Bart was prosecuted at large by the police. After his arrest, Bárta stated that he had not committed anything illegal. Petržílek said that the BIS is his heart affair and he would never betray it.
