For the time being, delivery will take place in 120-minute windows, but the company’s goal is to get to an hour in time. If the courier does not reach the customer, he will leave the shipment at the delivery point.
The service will be available from the beginning of July, with the company planning to deliver the vast majority of shipments by the next day. “Implementing the service into the system of cooperating online stores is very simple. Our partners will simply add the Home Delivery Service to their cart. Those who have so far used our Best Value for Delivery service will simply rename it to Zásilkovna domů and inform their customers that new shipments will no longer be delivered to them by third parties, but directly to the drivers of Zásilkovna, “he says. “By launching the Zásilkovna domů service, our customers receive a complete package of services – delivery to dispensing points, Z-BOXes and, newly, delivery to the address. In the first phase, we want to deliver shipments in a time window of 90 minutes, the goal is to get to the hour. The customer can pay cash on delivery in advance in our mobile application or directly in the e-shop, or at our driver, who has a terminal at his disposal and also accepts cash, ”adds Čižmar.

According to the founder of Zásilkovna and the director of the Packeta group Simona Kijonková the company was motivated to create the service by problems with third-party services that occurred during the coronavirus pandemic. “The key moment when we decided to change our business model and add another delivery product to the address was March last year. At that time, the number of shipments to customers to home addresses increased dramatically. At the same time, however, our external partners who operated the service for us limited the number of shipments that they could transport to us per day. We knew that we could find ourselves in such a situation repeatedly in other pandemic waves, and if we do not fundamentally change this, there is no escape, “Kijonková recalls, adding that Zásilkovna also struggled with the quality of delivery with external partners.
The operation of the Zásilkovna domů service will provide 135 microdepes, the number of which will continue to grow. These are usually existing dispensing points that have sufficient capacity to accommodate a larger number of consignments. “The interest in becoming a microdep of the Shipyard was enormous on the part of the dispensing points. It means additional income for them, they can also involve family members in the business. They know how to work with us, they know our systems, they understand our business philosophy. For us, therefore, they are natural partners and we are glad that we can contribute to the further development of their business, “adds Čižmar.
The Community Courier Service Zavezu, which Packeta bought at the end of 2019, will also take part in the delivery. Through the program, almost everyone can participate in the delivery of consignments to the address. “All he needs is a car and a trade license with a concession to operate trucking up to 3.5 tons. He will receive a payment terminal and a mobile phone with the Packeta application from us, which will plan the most ideal delivery route for him. Everything works very intuitively and simply.
